A Louisiana Court has found Exxon Mobil guilty of endangering their employees by knowingly allowing them to be exposed to asbestos. According to the Court, Exxon did nothing to implement safety measures to protect their employees from needless asbestos exposure.
The family of a former Exxon worker prompted the lawsuit, filing it after their family member died from mesothelioma. According to Exxon’s own documents, the company knew about the use of asbestos and that it was hazardous to workers. Depsite knowing all of this, Exxon failed to provide their workers with any safety gear, including safety masks.
Workers who have been dangerously exposed to asbestos should seek the assistance of an attorney. Contact the mesothelioma lawyers of Williams Kherkher for more information.
