A public High School in Bucks County, Pennsylvania was recently evacuated after construction workers came across exposed asbestos, investigators say.
Classes at Morrsville Middle-Senior High School were slated to resume later in the week, but tests were still being scheduled at the time to determine how much of the potentially cancerous material was airborne. If dangerous levels are found, the school could be shut down for a period of a few weeks to several months.
Parents of students attending Morrsville, including a number of elementary-age children temporarily at the high school due to complications at their own public institution, were informed around noon on February 11.
