Main Street Middle School and the Montpelier School district are suing a flooring company because of the way it handled an asbestos project last summer. The school district incurred damages because the company, Morrison Clark Inc, allegedly mishandled asbestos while cleaning it out of the school. The law suit is asking for $88,000.
A state inspector witnessed activities in the asbestos removal that he believed to be in violation of asbestos control regulations in Vermont. However, there was no asbestos contamination found. Morrison Clark denies any liability in the case. There was no asbestos exposure.
