The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is considering leveling a fine of nearly $500,000 against a contracting firm that failed to provide proper training and warnings for workers working with asbestos-riddled debris.
Cambria Contracting is accused of willfully withholding information about the dangers of asbestos and the fiber's link to mesothelioma. OSHA is considering a $484,000 fine against the company if they can verify that the workers were not properly trained in handling the material or warned about the carcinogenic qualities of the fiber.
