Asbestos removal at New York's Potsdam Civic Center has been completed after the death of an employee.
The project cost $50,000 and there is still some work that needs to be done in the basement, which still contains asbestos. A long-time emloyee of the civic center died of mesothelioma and her family filed a wrongful death suit claiming that the mesothelioma was caused by hazardous work conditions. Another employee is suing because she is claiming that she was terminated after she publicly expressed concerns regarding asbestos in the civic center.
