In early April, a West Virginia man filed suit against 25 companies, claiming that they failed to warn him of the dangers of asbestos exposure.
According to reports, the man was diagnosed with asbestos-related lung cancer in October 2009. He is claiming that various companies during his career were responsible for the exposure to the toxic material. General Electric, Metropolitan Life Insurance, United States Steel and Viacomm are a few of the companies named as defendants. The plaintiff is suing for negligence, breach of expressed and implied warranty, strict liabilty, intentional tort, and conspiracy.
Asbestos exposure can cause lung cancer such as mesothelioma, a rare and aggresive cancer. If you or a loved one has been exposed to asbestos, contact the mesothelioma lawyers of Williams Kherkher by calling 800-781-3955 today.
