A woman is seeking compensation for damages after her husband was diagnosed and died of mesothelioma.

A Texas woman files suit against eight companies claiming they are responsible lung cancer, which was linked to asbestos exposure.

The woman's husband workerd at Union Oil Company of Colifornia. She alleges that her husband was exposed to asbestos while on the job. The woman's husband was diagnosed with cancer in Aprill 2008, and died later that month on April 28. Asbestos, which causes a rare form of cancer, mesothelioma, has been found at a healthcare complex in New Jersey.

There were plans to demolish the complex, but after finding the toxic fibers, the demolish has been postponed. The building used to house residents of a nursing home until a new building was built. Utah Alum and former LA Ram professional player, Merlin Olsen, has filed a lawsuit against multiple companies claiming they are responsible for his mesothelioma.
