Baton Rouge Employers Fined for Asbestos Violations

by Administrator 23. June 2009 11:15

Three Baton Rouge based employers are being fined for a total of $112,000 for asbestos violations. Cited are Louisiana Health Care Consultants LLC, Dean Building Holdings and Bob Dean Enterprises Inc for three willful violations and 10 serious violations. The violations put workers at risk of injury and illness and are entirely avoidable.

The willful violations were failures to provide a competent supervisor for an asbestos removal project, provide respirators and inform workers of the presence of asbestos. The serious violations all involved failure in some way to protect workers from asbestos exposure. The companies have 15 days to address the citations.

If you or someone you know has been exposed to asbestos, contact the Louisiana mesothelioma attorneys of Williams Kherkher at 800-781-3955.
