Bridge Reopens after asbestos abatement

A bridge in Tampa, Florida is no reopened after being closed for repairs and asbestos abatement.

The bridge, which is a main cummute for people going to and from the downtown area, has been closed since July. The bridges dates to the 1920s. Asbestos was used to be used often in building material such as insulation and fireproofing. Besides replaing the asbestos, the bridge was alos repainted and sections of corroded steel was replaced. Asbestos exposure is the leading cause of mesothelioma, a rare form of cancer that affects 3,000 American a year.
