Navy Veterans at Risk for Mesothelioma

by Administrator 18. January 2010 16:17

The recent passing of a MerchantMarine in World War II from mesothelioma cancer, has brought attention to the risk that former Navy Veterans face in developing an asbestos-realted disease.

The man who died served in the engine room of tankers, Victory ships, and C-2 cargo ships died on Jan. 8, 2010 in his home. In 1934, the U.S laws required ocean vessels to have fire restraints materials protecting them. At this time, asbestos was used. The effects of the asbestos exposure are being seen today. Crew members at this time worked in close quarters with asbestos and many did not have the proper protective gear.

If you or someone you love has been a victim of mesothelioma or another asbestos-related disease, contact the mesothelioma lawyers of Williams Khekher by calling 800-781-3955 today.
