John Eddie Williams, Jr.

John Eddie Williams, Jr., is the managing partner and co-founder of Williams Kherkher Law Firm, a firm which has represented tens of thousands of working men and women for nearly 25 years. There is a long tradition of hard work in John Eddie's family, as both his father and grandfather were longshoremen.

After graduating first in his class at Baylor University School of Law, where he was also editor of the law review, John Eddie moved back to Houston to work for a defense firm. Shortly after, he opened his own firm and soon began representing clients who were seriously injured due to asbestos exposure.

Every year, thousands of people continue to be diagnosed with mesothelioma, a deadly form of cancer that mainly attacks the lining of the lungs due to prolonged exposure to asbestos. John Eddie has taken on some of the largest corporations in the world when representing workers who were harmed by asbestos - often succumbing to mesothelioma 30 or 40 years after initial exposure.

In addition to recording some of the largest asbestos-related verdicts and settlements in Texas history, John Eddie has worked on several other dockets, including fen-phen, welding fumes, plant explosions and Vioxx. He is licensed to practice in all state and federal district courts in Texas, and is member of both the American Bar Association and the American Association for Justice.

Steven J. Kherkher

A licensed attorney for nearly 20 years, Steven J. Kherkher is a partner at Williams Kherkher Law Firm. With a law degree from South Texas College of Law, Steve has experience in a wide variety of practice areas.

Steve has headed up some of Williams Kherkher's largest dockets, such as asbestos, fen-phen and Vioxx. On the behalf of asbestos clients, Steve has successfully sued corporations like Exxon and Dow Chemical for damages.

Workers who endured significant exposure to asbestos are often at the greatest risk for contracting mesothelioma. This deadly form of cancer usually afflicts the linings of the lungs, eventually suffocating the victim. Steve has led Williams Kherkher's asbestos docket for years and continues to try its most difficult cases.

Steve is a member of both the Houston Trial Lawyers Association and the Texas Trial Lawyers Association. In addition, he is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Houston and American Bar Associations, and the Association for American Justice.
